Abstract

The problem studied in writing this final paper is the
Housekeeping Department service and how the Room
Boy/Maid cleans the room and prepares the room to comply
with the standard operating procedures (SOP) that have been
set by the company. The object of this research is the service
provided by the Housekeeping Department in Room Boy/Maid
in order to find out how to prepare a room at Swiss-Bellhotel
Borneo Banjarmasin. In this research, the writer uses
descriptive research method, which means describing a
problem or a condition and looking for factors that are
currently happening in the Housekeeping Department in the
Room Boy/Maid section at Swiss-Bellhotel Borneo
Banjarmasin. In the results of this final paper, the authors
found that Room Boy/Maid was still lacking in implementing
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), so that the services in
the Housekeeping Department at Room/Boy were still less than
optimal in carrying out the work that had been given. The
conclusion in this final paper research is that the service and
room preparation are still less than optimal and result in the
guests having to wait and complain about the performance of
the employees at Swiss-Bellhotel Borneo Banjarmasin.
Suggestions in this research should always be given routine
training on the party and always set a standard operating
procedure (SOP) so that employee performance is maximized
and optimal so that it can increase room occupancy which is
higher than the previous one.
