Abstract

The problem that is being researched concerns the proper marketing strategy of food on the menu in the restaurant, the lack of interest in traditional food which is sold at too expensive a price. The research subject is food sales data in February 2020, to find out how much food has been sold in that month. The research method used is a descriptive method, which describes the problems that occur in the food marketing strategy at the Pyramid Suites Hotel Restaurant Bnjarmasin as well as observing the conditions that are currently happening and trying to find out the related factors through the data the authors get to be able to provide input, to a competent person. The results of the study found that the marketing strategy at the Scarlett Restaurant Pyramid Hotel Banjarmasin should be further improved, seeing that the competition for restaurants in hotels is now very much. The conclusion of this study is that the analysis that has been carried out at the restaurant turns out that the existence of the menu at the Scarlett Restaurant Hotel Pyramid Suites Banjarmasin, greatly affects the achievement of food sales targets. Suggestions from the results of the study are that restaurants should conduct periodic menu analysis, to be able to take appropriate strategic steps to promote food sold in restaurants.
